Bustling City Centre
We know, your flight leaves in a few hours and you want to see some hotspots. Get ready for Amsterdam quick ‘n dirty style! Together with your host you can plan a route that covers the city centre with a nice bonus-ferrytrip to Noord. Of course we’re not forgetting a great local snack!
Quaint & peaceful Jordaan
Not in the mood for hectic streets? No problem, Amsterdam has a lovely neighbourhood called the Jordaan. It’s a great place to get lost, with or without a map, app, or local. But when catching a flight is at stake, bet on the local! We get you started with a few landmarks and great local spots.
The canal ring, or Grachtengordel, is the reason why Amsterdam is being called: ‘The Venice of the North’. So much history to be seen here. It’s a long walk, but we recommend starting on the Haarlemmerstraat and go down until you reach the Magere Brug (it doubles as a workout!).
Originally de Pijp was a working class neighbourhood, which reflects in the huge Albert Cuyp Market that lies right in the centre. Nowadays de Pijp is a fantastic place to experience modern Amsterdam bar culture and see some really diverse architecture.
